In an effort to reduce pollution, USAID’s Clean Cities, Blue Ocean program, donated a truck and three motorcycle vans to the District Municipality of Máncora.
This donation aims to strengthen and support the Municipal Program MÁNCORA RECICLA, to promote recycling in homes and businesses in the city. In addition to reducing the contamination of beaches and natural resources by the generation of solid waste, this program seeks to promote the creation of decent jobs in the city’s formalized associations.
The official donation ceremony of the vehicles was attended by the District Mayor, Manuel Orlando Cruz Aguilar, municipal councilors, National Director of USAID’s Clean Cities, Blue Ocean Program, representatives from the company Owen Illinois, presidents of neighborhood councils, educational institutions, and representatives of the Association of recyclers Fuerza de Dios of the MÁNCORA RECICLA program.
The district mayor thanked USAID for this important donation to the municipal program MÁNCORA RECICLA and for the benefit of the entire district.
Together, we will work to promote a culture of recycling in Máncora and make a lasting impact on the protection of our precious environment.
