CCBO’s grants program is designed to identify and implement locally-led, sustainable solutions and approaches that support the program’s objectives and combat ocean plastics pollution directly at the source. CCBO is seeking the support of grantees throughout its focal countries and currently has several opportunities available for application, listed below. Opportunities will be posted as they become available.

Philippines

CCBO’s Annual Program Statement for the Philippines seeks Concept Papers from organizations that are interested and qualified to implement local grants that support the program’s objectives to reduce ocean plastics pollution. Grants will be awarded to select organizations to implement effective, locally-led solutions and approaches to combat ocean plastics pollution directly at their source.

Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2021, with several application windows available throughout the year. CCBO’s Request for Applications: Technical Assistance for the Women in Waste’s Economic Empowerment Activity in Metro Manila, Philippines seeks applications from organizations that are interested and qualified to work closely with CCBO in developing and delivering a training curriculum to advance women’s knowledge and access to opportunities while addressing gender issues, leading management of and communication with a network of recruited training participants, and coordinating with CCBO’s team of implementors for its new WWEE activity. WWEE aims to create a new support and incubator network for women in the solid waste management and recycling sectors to establish or grow their businesses, advancing livelihoods and economic opportunity while strengthening urban waste management and reducing ocean-bound plastics.
