The consortium of 5 international NGOs that constitute the Joint Initiative implemented an OFDA funded, eighteen month long Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and agriculture project in five cities in Zimbabwe. The overall goal of the project was to promote, improve, and protect the sustainable livelihoods of vulnerable urban communities through effective response and information coordination by urban actors.
