The report is an assessment of the state of spatial planning and local government involvement in Bosnia through USAID’s Governance and Accountability Program. The program introduced municipalities in Bosnia to the principals of modern urban planning, the application of information technologies, more timely and effective provision of information to citizens, the introduction of flexible planning methodologies, streamlining of administrative procedures for potential investors, and professional training of personnel. GAP2 assisted 72 municipalities across the country, with visible results in several areas. The project has also contributed to new regulations related to zoning.
